Erica Campbell, ND, and Fi Connors, ISHOM, are not a Medical Doctors or Doctors of Osteopathy. All information on sakuranaturalhealth.com is written from a Naturopathic perspective. The State of Texas does not license naturopathic doctors. Dr. Erica holds a current and valid license to practice medicine from the State of Arizona and Fi Connors holds a current and valid license issued by the country of Ireland. This site does not provide medical or health care advice. Please consult your physician regarding any health needs you may have.

Naturopathic Doctors hold a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine (ND or NMD) from an accredited Naturopathic medical school. The four-year post-graduate training is unique in that Naturopathic Doctors study all the conventional medical sciences while also completing extensive academic and clinical education in the use of natural medicines. Medical science coursework includes cardiology, neurology, radiology,
obstetrics, gynecology, immunology, dermatology, and pediatrics. Natural Science coursework includes (but is not limited to) nutrition, homeopathic medicine, botanical medicine, physical medicine, counseling, and pharmaceuticals.

Naturopathic Doctors take a national board exam, the Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Exam (NPLEX), and attain a state license where it is available.* In licensed states, ND’s serve as primary care practitioners with the ability to diagnose and treat medical conditions, perform physical exams, and order laboratory testing. In states which do not currently license Naturopathic doctors, as is the case in Texas, ND’s may serve as Natural Health consultants.

*Currently, twenty states and/or territories license NDs to practice. Naturopathic doctors are actively pursuing licensure for the state of Texas. To support licensure in Texas visit www.naturopathic.org or www.txanp.org.
